College Gameday Will Visit the Loveliest Village on the Plains
ESPN has been doing “College Gameday for over 20 years and has visited Auburn’s campus numerous times. This weekend they will be visiting again when the football team plays the Florida Gators. Having “Gameday come to Auburn means more than just showcasing the football team but it is a time for people to see this great campus and the great fans that come to the games.
ESPN “College Gameday is aired coast-to-coast every Saturday during football season. It analyzes the games for that week, makes predictions about the games and conducts interviews with players and coaches.
This is second time in two years that the show has visited Auburn. The last time was in 2004 when the Tigers played to Georgia Bulldogs. The Tigers came away with a win and this time around Auburn fans are hoping for the same thing. After last weeks lose to Arkansas everyone is looking for the Tigers to rebound with a victory over the number two team in the nation.
Fans get so excited about “Gameday that they campout all night just waiting for the show to start the next morning. Students and fans make signs to show their spirit and support for their team. People are out there cheering and just hoping that on camera. The show does not start until 9 AM but fans are up and cheering long before that. ![]()
