Auburn Student Helps Others Through the AU Student Act
For more than three years, Breanna Allgood studied nursing at Auburn University. But after realizing that it wasn’t her passion, she switched to nutrition, and has enjoyed it ever since.
Growing up in Atlanta, Allgood played every sport under the sun. Her passion was basketball, but she also proved herself in the world of swimming. She was known as one of the most athletic girls in her high school. This background has helped Allgood get to where she is today. In addition to her nutrition classes, Allgood is required to do community service.
She decided to work at the Student Act (SAC) on Auburn’s campus. After an interview process, Allgood was selected to work in a free program that the SAC provides for Auburn students. Her job involves personal training and fitness programs with a select few students for maximum one-on-one time. She helps students refine their diet and exercise programs. While dissatisfied with the SAC, Allgood loves to help people reach a better fitness level and feel better about themselves. Allgood has such a passion for helping others that she wants to work for the Peace Corps after graduation.
