Media InForum
Auburn University’s first Media Inforum will be held October 12 in the auditorium at the Jule Collins Smith Museum. Media InForum is a forum for Auburn University Alumni and students in the media field to exchange ideas. 
The Media Inforum will focus on learning about script writing, publishing, advertising, getting an agent and creating a television reality show. The lecture topics range from “A Career on Camera,� “Writing for the Hollywood Dollar,� “Artist’s Representation,� “Print Journalism Today,� “Advertising in Our Society.� At the end of the day a panel discussion will close the forum.
Six speakers will lecture throughout the day from 9 am till 4 pm, with each presentation lasting 35 minutes. A 15 minute question and answer session will follow.
At 9 am Marc Summers will lecture on “A Career on Camera,” and will talk about developing and pitching a reality TV show. Summers is host of two TV shows on the Food Network channel “Unwrapped,” in which he is also a producer and “The Next Food Network Star.” He is former host and producer of Nickelodeon’s “Double Date” and “What Would You Do?”
Tony Blake will lecture on how to write and sell a script at 10 am. Blake is a writer and producer for TV shows.
Kathy Armistead, a music agent, will discuss what agents do and how to get an idea at 11 am.
Kay Fuston, an Auburn graduate, is Editor and Vice President of Coastal Living Magazine. Fuston will talk about how to break into publishing at 1:10 pm.
Matt Crisci, a former partner of Lintas, an advertising company, and Interpublic Group, an advertising holding company, will lecture at 2 pm. Crisci will talk about the changes affected advertising in the digital age.
Parking is free at Jule Collins Smith Museum and there is a Tiger Transit stop at the museum.
