ida Johnson is a senior at Auburn University majoring in Early Childhood Special Education. Lida has known since she enrolled at Auburn that she wanted to work with children with disabilities.
“I have always been told I have a big heart and I really enjoy working with children, so I thought Special Education would be the perfect major for me,” said Johnson.
Lida enjoys participating in Friends For Life, which is a support group for parents who have children with disabilities. Friends For Life meets at Auburn United Methodist Church every third Tuesday of the month and the following Friday.
Lida is a Friends For Life volunteer, so watch as she explains more about the program and its activities.
