Behind the Scenes of Auburn Athletics
Everyone knows about Auburn athletics. Students and alumni alike love to attend all sporting events from football to gymnastics. Many of the people that make up Auburn athletics are well know from the coaches to the athletes, but a very important part of athletics may not be so well known.
The Auburn Athletic Business Office is more behind the scenes than a coach or an athlete, but athletics would be nothing without it. The business office pays all invoices for athletics and assists coaches and vendors with purchases.
Ann Harper has been an Auburn University employee for 23 years! She says she has been with university so long because she loves athletics. Harper enjoys attending all of the sporting events and also says the job offers good benefits along with a nice retirement plan.
Working in the business office may not be as glamorous as a coaching job or athletic director, but it plays an instrumental role in the athletic department.
