Frozen Froggy gets a Fighting Chance

Owen Seaborn, an animal sciences and pre-veterinary medicine major at Auburn University, adopted an unexpected friend on her way to class. Seaborn found a large bullfrog on the side of the road while walking her normal path. Most people would have passed by without compassion or consideration for the frog, but Seaborn did quite the opposite.

Seaborn stopped to check and see if the frog was okay, but on the contrary she found that the frog was in pour health. Being naturally curious about animals, Seaborn picked up the frog and brought it to one of her professors. The professor told her that the frog had gotten too cold and as a result could no longer move.

Seaborn acted quickly, bringing the frog into Haley Center and trying to warm it with water. The frog started to get a little warmer and started to move a bit. Seaborn still kept the frog in her care to ensure that it got back to its natural state. She hopes that the frog can be released back into its natural habitat very soon. Auburn University is lucky to have students like Seaborn that genuinely care and are passionate about the environment.
