Auburn University Grad Students Attempt Novel Research

Daniel Fogg can be found on any ‘ole day in the Digital Resource Lab on the bottom floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon library. But in his free time, Fogg is playing with trees.

Fogg is an Auburn graduate studying wildlife sciences. He is doing research in Auburn with the help of George Matusick, an Auburn graduate student in the field of forest pathology. Together they are doing forestry research on the link between certain fungi and the effects that they have on premature pine death.

If all goes according to plan, Matusick and Fogg will find ground-breaking results, according to Fogg. They hope to one day be published.
