Finance Major talks about Graduation
As the end of the year is quickly approaching, seniors are getting ready to leave college once and for all and begin their journey into the real world. Some are scared, not knowing what will be waiting for them after the cap and gown are removed. Others are excited to begin this new chapter of their lives.
Katy Payne is a senior majoring in finance. Payne chose finance as her major because she was good at it. Like Payne, many students choose majors that show off their skills in a certain major. When asked about continuing on with finance and possibly going to law school, she said she had heard stories from her older sister and decided that law school was not the path for her.
Payne is not graduating till August, but the months will quickly go by like they have for many students. One of the many things that Payne said she will miss is the tradition Auburn has. It is what makes the school different compared to schools. It is also what makes the Auburn students different compared to other students that attend other schools.
Auburn students have a sense of pride about the plains and always tend to come back once and a while. They return for a home game or to visit family who followed them to Auburn because they saw the trademark the school left on them. Students will graduate from Auburn, some will go miles away or others just a few miles down the road, but they will always remember their time on the plains.
