Auburn University’s New SGA President: Lauren Hayes

bout 10 days ago Auburn University held their annual elections for Miss Auburn and SGA cabinet. Election week was filled with excitement as the campus waited to vote on Thursday Feb. 7, 2008 for the new leaders of this university.

My dear friend Lauren Hayes a junior from Abbeville, Ala. was elected the new SGA president. Lauren is double majoring in Public Administration and German. Her platform slogan for the campaign was “Giving a Small Town a Big Vision.� She has been involved with Auburn’s SGA since her freshman year and couldn’t be more excited about her new position. Since she has been elected Lauren has done a few things such as appointing her chief of staff and meeting with some administrators, but the work is just ahead of her.
