Taking Learning Out of the Classroom and Taking It Over Seas

For Mary Catherine Clem, an Industrial Design major at Auburn, a studio for a classroom is not unusual.  She is always searching for new innovative ideas for her projects which she admits are sometimes hard to find in the studio.  That is why she decided last February to step out of her comfort zone and get inspired by other cultures.

Along with traveling to Ireland, Clem wondered through the cobblestoned streets of Scotland, France and England, soaking in ideas along the way.  Alongside her classmates, Clem worked with students from other universities in Europe and shadowed Industrial Design companies to gain hands on experience.

In this clip Clem describes her adventures to Europe.
