Embracing Dreams…Painting Hope

Callie Cooper is a senior majoring in exercise science with an unique vision for Auburn. This past year, Callie has been looking for an opportunity to utilize her heart for community service in a tangible way. The answer came in an offer to paint a mural in downtown Auburn.

Callie visualizes the mural as an opportunity to bring the Auburn and Opelika communities together. Before deciding on a theme, she sought the help of children from both the Boykin Center and Boys& Girls Club.

On April 12, Callie invites all members of the Auburn and Opelika communities to join her in painting a “mural of hope.” The mural will be painted on the Bicycle Shop Wall at 147 N. College St. The gathering will last from 9-4 pm.
