Traveling Abroad on a Whim

radley Banks is a senior majoring in Finance from Cleveland, Tennessee.  Banks planned to graduate from Auburn in May, but after being encouraged by one of his professors to participate in the study abroad program, he changed his mind.

Banks will spend one week in Auburn this summer taking a very condensed version of a Strategic Management course, which is required for his major.  But after spending this week in the classroom, Banks and the other students in the class will head to Europe to apply what they have learned.  The students will be making visits to many different companies all over Poland and Estonia.

Banks will graduate in August after he completes this program.  Watch the video below to hear Banks talk about the study abroad program.

Auburn’s Communication Disorders Program

Sara Grace Smith is a senior at Auburn University. She is majoring in Communication Disorders and hopes to attain a master’s degree from Auburn as well. Her wish is to work with children in a rehabilitation center or a hospital, and help them over come obstacles in their speech and communication.

Auburn University’s Department of Communication Disorders prepares and encourages their undergraduate students to proceed beyond a bachelor’s degree. Smith explains what is required in this field, which includes working and observing clinical sessions.

Auburn’s program holds high expectations for students and is known to be very prestigious. This interview with Smith shows that just like any other degree acquired from Auburn, it takes hard work and effort that will pay off in the end.

Courtney: Nursing Clinicals

Courtney, a junior at Auburn University is majoring in Nursing.

 Twice a week Courtney attends cliniclas, where she is able to get first hand experience as a nurse.

 The clinicals have helped Courtney gauge her future career and decide where she would like to specialize.

Auburn Faces Real World PR

tephanie Tate, a senior in public relations, attended the Real World PR conference in Atlanta on Feb. 22, 2008. The conference is

designed to give PR students from different schools an idea of what to expect when they enter into the workforce. Stephanie

discusses the seminars she attended and what she learned in each of them.

    This conference is a great experience for anyone preparing for a job in PR.

Katie’s Future In NYC

Katie Brunson is a senior at Auburn University. She is majoring in Apparel Merchandising and getting a minor in Business. This past summer she applied for many internships in New York City and managed to get the one that would take her far and keep her there.

Brunson interned at The Globe Showroom where she learned about sales among the fashion business world. The Globe Showroom made it possible for Brunson to actually like her work. She is one of a very few who luck out on their first internship and from it score a job that they love.

In this interview Brunson explains a little bit about working at The Globe Showroom. She also talks about how The Globe asked her to come back this year to work during a few shows. Brunson completes the interview by discussing her plans for her future, which involves a permanent job at the showroom and living in New York for a while.
