Brittany Branyon: Making a Difference

Brittany Branyon is making a difference. She is a senior in political science at Auburn University and works for the Auburn Sustainability Initiative. She is also the co-chair for the Auburn Sustainability Action Program, member of the Environmental Executive Committee and is a weekly columnist for the Opelika-Auburn News. Branyon hopes to educate others on a way to live that isn’t as harmful on the environment.

The Stables of Shiloh Farms Wins Again

The Stables of Shiloh Farms is a horse boarding, riding, training and competitive hunting and  jumping facility, located 8 miles outside of Auburn, Ala.

This last weekend The Stables of Shiloh Farms successfully competed in a show in Gulfport, Mis. 

Reporting on the results, Teresa Tice, owner of Shiloh Farms, will be reading a poem titled ”Gulfport in Review,” written by one of the Stables’ vary own student riders, Jack Nash.

The New DRL

Gary Hawkins is an information technology specialist in the library’s Digital Resource Laboratory and is excited about it’s massive expansion.

The DRL is being expanded to offer its services to many more students at the same time. They will continue to offer the software packages that other computer labs might not have along with the highest grade printers on campus.

Auburn Magazine Intern

hannon Leutzinger is a senior in graphic design at Auburn University. She is currently working as a student design intern for Auburn Magazine at the Office of Alumni Affairs. While working for the university, she has learned about production, typography, teamwork and how to fulfill clients’ needs. Leutzinger hopes to do logo branding design and packaging design after graduation.

Working in Washington

There are only a few people that have had the experience of working in Washington D.C. It is an experience that many people apply for and do not get it. For Mary Jane Stacy, she is one of the few who got the opportunity.  Mary Jane is a senior in Communications who got the experience of working in Washington last summer as a junior. Stacy said it was a great experience believes it gave her more opportunities than she thought. Watch her video describing her responsibilities and what she as expected to do in Washington.
